Abstract Interview of Leonard McKnight by Burley Estep, Jr.

Interviewer's description-
"In this interview Mr. McKnight recalls his life in the Cumberland area. Mr. McKnight was born June 1, 1927 in a log house. Mr. McKnight tells of Creech grocery being the only store in town. His first job was cutting timbers for $2.20 per day. He was in the Army during WW II. He worked for U.S. Steel. He recalls the pay being $50 per week in 1947. He retired from U.S. Steel at the age of 62. Mr. McKnight also tells of the Coralee theater in Cumberland, movies were 11 cents and of the people making moonshine..
