Interviewer's description-
"In this interview with Arvil Short, he talked a little about his birth and about some folk remedies used in this area. Mr. Short states that he knew of these remedies from his own experiences with them. They were passed down to him from his elders. Some of the remedies discussed included: 1) pneumonia 2) asthma 3) measles 4) chicken pox 5) earaches 6) toothaches 7) headaches 8) sore throat 9) bellyache 10) hemorrhoids 11) heartburn 12) worms 13) urinary problems 14) cuts 15) colds 16) fevers 17) seven year itch 18) broken bones 19) childbirth 20) menopause 21) St. Vitas Dance 22) sun stroke 23) burns 24) childbed fever 25) thrash 26) T.B. and 27) cancer, etc."
