"In this interview with Denise Giardina she talks about how she began writing about her two novels; set in medieval England with the anti-war theme, Good King Harry; the acclaimed Storming Heaven, set during the mine wars of West Virginia. She talks about her third novel and her views on the role, the writer in general and the Appalachian writer in particular. She concludes with some advice to aspiring writers who want to break into publishing."
