"This tape is about part of Grace Cobb's life in Harlan, Kentucky. She tells of her struggles and her family's survival through the depression and through the union organization. She also tells of the different mines her father worked and the treatment that all miners got from the coal operators. She describes the cause of the bloody violence in Harlan, Kentucky."
