Abstract Interview of Della Maggard by Sandra Maggard.

Interviewer's description-
"Della Maggard talks about her childhood; where she lived; she remembers using kerosene lamps and living on welfare as a child. She had five brothers and five sisters. She speaks of the rationing of food. She tells of how her husband died and how she had to raise her own children on welfare, supplemented by her taking in washing (she had to use a washboard)."
