Abstract Interview of Lora Thompson by Melanie Zuercher.

Interviewer's description-
"Lora Thompson grew up during the depression and lived in a log house. She has spent most of her life on the North side of Pine Mountain, in Harlan County. She married at sixteen and raised ten children. She taught herself to play guitar and has a thirty-five year old Gibson guitar worth over $2,000.00. She plays in church mostly. Lora's parents didn't see any value in education so she didn't go to school very much while growing up. Now she is finally able to go to school through an adult reading program in Harlan."
