Interviewer's description-
"Mrs. Lewis was born on Jones Creek near Verda, Kentucky, in 1917. Her parents were Felix and Maude Gilbert. Her father worked in the coal mines at Verda, Kentucky and the family subsistence farm. She married Pugh Lewis when she was sixteen and had six children during their marriage. Topics here include: (1) food preservation, (2) school, (3) coal mining, (4) unions, and 5) Social Security."
