Abstract Interview of Lank Presnell by Sharon Mullins.

Interviewer's description-
"Mr. Presnell was born Nov. 7, 1910 in Jefferson County, Tennessee and moved into Letcher County, Kentucky as a young boy. He recalls entering the coal mines when he was 16 years old at Cromona. He described working conditions prior to unionization. He recalls the use of script; the days when men hand loaded coal with their own tools and powder. Mr. Presnell states that he was active in union organizing drives and describes, at length, the benefits brought about by unionization."
