Abstract Interview of Richard Franklin by Arthur Villareal.

Interviewer's description-
"Mr. Franklin was born March 17, 1925 at Eolia, Ky. in Letcher County. His father was a lumberjack and later Mr. Franklin gained a job in the log woods. He has spent the last 18 years working in various coal mines and is presently employed by the Benham Coal Co. where he has asked to be retired for health reasons. Topics discussed include: 1) logging 2) coal mining 3) depression 4) medical care 5 ) unions 6) education."
