"Mrs. Coldiron was born March 5, 1899 at Benham, Kentucky and has lived in Harlan County most of her life (except for a short stay on a farm near London, Kentucky.). She attended Sue Bennett College and taught school at Cumberland Grade School with Talmage Huff. Topics included here are: (1) recreation, (2) health, (3) education, (4) depression, (5) moonshining, (6) changes in fashion, (7) marriage and birth, and (8) religion."
