"Mrs. Vaughn speaks of her birth in Wise County, Virginia and her enrollment at Radford College and the beginning of her teaching career. She discusses her 39 years of teaching in the coal company owned school system and later, the public county owned facility. She mentions major changes in coal communities over the past 40 years--population, educational emphasis, etc."
