Abstract Interview of Reverend Dallas Messer by Tony Sizemore.

Interviewer's description-
"Mr. Messer describes his early life in Knox County, Kentucky where he graduated from Knox Central High School in 1932. He discusses his struggle to get a college education and how he began teaching in Knox County and later in Harlan County where he presently resides and teaches. Mr. Messer offers statements on the war on poverty, religion, effects of out migration, Vietnam War, discipline in education, welfare and the emergence of Appalachian culture courses in East Kentucky schools."
