Abstract Interview of Judy Layne by Clair Cornett.

Interviewer's description-
"Judy was born July 17, 1939 at Fram, Kentucky, near Betsy Lane in Floyd County. She had three brothers and one sister (two of her brothers are now deceased). Her father died three months before she was born. Her mother, who is presently 82, lives in Cumberland, Kentucky and is still active in the community and the church. She graduated from Betsy Lane High School in 1958 and about a year later married Harold Layne, a song leader at her home church. She spent some time working in the business department of a Methodist Hospital and he was an A & P store manager at Pikeville for 27 years. After he had turned forty, Harold decided to go into the Methodist Ministry. The Layne family has been living in Cumberland for the past seven years where they both are active in church, community, etc. They have a daughter (who is a college freshman) and a son (who is a high school junior). Judy responds frankly to questions about abortion, women's liberation, the economy, rearing children, church hierarchy, politics, etc."
