Abstract Interview of James B. Goode by Dr. Roy Silver.

Interviewer's description-
"James B. Goode was born and reared in the International Harvester Coal Camp at Benham, Kentucky. He attended a company school there for the first eight years of his schooling. He responds to questions about the social and political roles the school played in the community. There was discussion of how coal company schools compared with public schools, segregation, integration, consolidation, general social structures within the camp, achievement levels of students, sports and several references to how the coal camp culture differed from rural Appalachian life."
