Interviewer's description-
"Mrs. Brown recounts her childhood in Evarts and Cumberland, Kentucky. She describes her life as the daughter of a strict minister and her education in a one room school on Davis' Creek. She mentions her father's skepticism of formal education because he thought school books were filled with lies (the cow did not jump over the moon, etc). She tells an anecdote about her family owning two leases on Manhattan Island."
