Abstract Interview of Rob Stewart by Cora Sizemore.

Interviewer's description-
"Mr. Stewart describes working in the mines during the hand loading era, first in the pony mines and later for the Harlan-Wallins Coal Company at Verda, Kentucky from about 1939-1964. Topics Mr. Stewart discussed were: 1) company coal camps (medical expense, company stores, etc.), 2) unionization, 3) modernization and mechanization of mining, 4) wages, and 5) injuries and deaths from accidents."
