"Mr. Maples describes mining coalition from 1924-1966 in Wallins Creek and Lynch, Kentucky. Life in the coal camps, medical care, script, company commissary, unionization, injury and death are among the many topics he discusses. He tells many interesting anecdotes about Gob Rats and how he got started working in the mines."
