Abstract Interview of Jim Blair by Delores Philpot. Blair discusses his background and folk dancing.

Interviewer's description-
"Jim Blair relates his memories of living the first 10 years of his life on Black Mountain (Harlan County Kentucky) amongst moonshiners and AWOL soldiers. He stated that the types of people that inhabited these mountains couldn't afford much association with the outside world so Mr. Blair went to Central Kentucky to school where he became interested in folk dancing. Mr. Blair stated that he has learned the origins of Appalachian folk dances and has taught them to the students in this area with hopes of keeping folk dancing alive."
