Abstract Interview of Mossie Baker by Gladys Fee. Baker discusses her background and education in Leslie County.

Interviewer's description-
"Mrs. Baker was born in Leslie County, April 7, 1903. She was the daughter of Ben Miniard and Florence Asher (her mother's family founded Chappell's Dairy). She outlines her educational preparation at Pine Mountain Settlement School (she briefly mentions Katherine Petit one of the founders of Lincoln Memorial University and Union College). She and her husband held a variety of jobs including working at grocery stores, pool halls, post offices, school teaching, restaurant operation, etc. Most of their life was spent on Cutshin in Leslie County, Kentucky. Later years they moved to Evarts, Kentucky, where they operated a small restaurant/store until they retired. Mr. Baker passed away November 12, 1981."
